Nostalgia
I don't know about you but I'm very much emotional at this moment. Nokia was and always will be my most favourite phone manufacturer. Especially in India:
Nokia is almost like a cult brand here. After all, the first phone you ever saw in your house was a Nokia handset. Their XpressMusic phones revolutionised the phone audio market way back. Their "N" series phones were their flagship phones with a top-notch camera, top-notch build quality and top-notch looks. "Pureview" technology from Nokia fast forwarded the smartphone camera market many years.
- Then there was Nokia 3310 which can also be used as a war weapon.
Like everyone else, I was also deeply disappointed when Nokia promised only to make "Windows Phones." Although their Lumia phones were pretty fantastic in every department, it was the software aka mobile Windows OS that prevented those Lumia handsets from becoming a success.

There was no announcement about global availability. We'll update you if there's any news about its release in India.

This is not the original Nokia
This is totally a misconception perceived by many, many individuals around the globe. HMD Global has many of Nokia's former employees. Foxconn is only the maker of the phones. So, the design inputs, comments on the camera quality or build quality or anything come directly from ex-Nokia employees. So rest assured:
- You aren't getting a cheap Chinese phone with Nokia brand name attached just for the sake of marketing and selling.
Putting a rest to the rumours
There were many rumours about 5 or 6 Android powered Nokia phones coming soon. Well, HMD Global today announced only just one handset. This doesn't mean that Nokia won't launch any other new phones this year. There are other trade shows all over the year in the form of MWC, IFA etc.
Dreams are becoming reality. With the first Nokia Android phone launched now, are you looking forward to seeing what more they offer down the road?
