New Samsung Galaxy A Series Unveiled - 2017 Edition

Information about the new Samsung Galaxy A series was pouring from the past month or so. So it was just a matter of time for their official introduction.

Although previously rumoured for a Malaysian launch event, the handsets are now listed on Samsung's official press site.

Samsung A3 (2017)

• Processor - 1.6 GHz Octa-Core (Probably Exynos 7870).
• Display - 4.7 inch HD (720p) Super AMOLED.
• RAM - 2GB.
• Storage - 16GB Internal With Memory card supported up to 256GB.
• Battery - 2350 mAH with no Fast Charging.
• Camera - Rear : 13MP (F1.9 aperture), Front : 8MP (F1.9 aperture).
• Colour - Black Sky, Gold Sand, Blue Mist and Peach Cloud.

Samsung A5 (2017)

• Processor - 1.9  GHz Octa-Core (Probably Exynos 7870).
• Display - 5.2 inch Full HD (1080p) Super AMOLED.
• RAM - 3GB.
• Storage - 32GB Internal With Memory card supported up to 256GB.
• Battery - 3000 mAH with Fast Charging Supported.
• Camera - Rear : 16MP, Front : 16MP.
• Colour - Black Sky, Gold Sand, Blue Mist and Peach Cloud.

Samsung A7 (2017)

• Processor - 1.9  GHz Octa-Core (Probably Exynos 7870).
• Display - 5.7 inch Full HD (1080p) Super AMOLED.
• RAM - 3GB.
• Storage - 32GB Internal With Memory card supported up to 256GB.
• Battery - 3600 mAH with Fast Charging Supported.
• Camera - Rear : 16MP (F1.9 aperture), Front : 16MP (F1.9 aperture).
• Colour - Black Sky, Gold Sand, Blue Mist and Peach Cloud.

Other features

The three phones come with USB Type C and support Samsung Pay, NFC and Samsung Cloud. There are features like:

• Floating Camera Button.
• Screen Flash for the selfie-lovers. 

They are also IP68 rated which means you can submerge them underwater for 30 minutes at depths of up to 1.5m without causing any harm.

Ah! Android Marshmallow or 6.0.1. With Android 7 aka Nougat being available from October, there is no excuse to launch these handsets with a backdated version of Android. 

The 2017 edition of the Samsung Galaxy A series will initially launch in Russia with a global expansion expected to roll out after some time. When they are launched in India, I'll add the prices and the website from where you can buy them.
